Varicose Vein Treatment

Varicose Vein Treatment

Varicose veins are chronic and recurrent conditions. The variety of treatments available does not offer a cure, but rather a control of the condition. Successfully treated veins cannot come back. However, your inborn tendency to develop new veins will not be cured by this or any other form of treatment. Dr. Noam Spinowitz treats venous insufficiency completely, removing all backward-flowing veins, making your treatment for varicose veins as thorough as possible.

Peripheral Artery Disease

Peripheral Artery Disease

This buildup—called plaque—narrows your arteries, often reducing or blocking the flow of blood. Peripheral artery disease (PAD) is most commonly seen in the legs, but also can be present in the arteries that carry blood from your heart to your head, arms, kidneys and stomach. Nearly everyone who has PAD, even those who do not have leg symptoms, suffer from an inability to walk as fast or as far as they could before PAD. In all, PAD affects 8 to 12 million people in the United States, especially those that are 50 and older. If you are diagnosed with PAD, the sooner you are treated, the lower your risk of the disease progressing. Talk to Dr. Noam Spinowitz about minimally invasive treatment options.

Port or PICC Line Placement

If you are receiving treatment such as chemotherapy, it may involve frequent injections and the need for accessible veins. A port or PICC placement can help make these procedures more comfortable for you, especially if your treatment requires frequent access to the bloodstream for medication delivery or blood withdrawal. Talk to Dr. Noam Spinowitz about how you can spare your veins from frequent needle sticks.

Testimonials

I visited the Manhattan office of American Access in August of this year, and I was initially filled with dread about the whole place and procedure. But it turned out to be a wonderful facility, with terrific people on staff. The medical personnel are top-notch and the support personnel are very friendly and efficient. Once you get on the schedule there, things work quickly and expertly. I had a temp cath inserted in my neck/chest area, and it has functioned perfectly for about two months now. While I am looking forward to having it removed very soon, I have to say the whole experience was made easier and less terrifying (I was originally so wary that I canceled my first appointment out of fear) by the good people at American Access. If you're in the unfortunate position of needing access for dialysis or other treatments, I recommend the doctors and technicians here.
