Located in Hauppauge, New York in Suffolk County, we have been providing minimally invasive treatment procedures for over ten years. Our team, who has also worked together for years, shares the common goal of putting our patient’s first, and creating a family atmosphere. Whether you are a patient or a referring physician, you need to be able to depend on care that is current, safe, effective, and tailored to the individual needs of the patient, and that is exactly the kind of care delivered. We provide treatment options for dialysis access management, varicose veins, in addition to port placement.

Our Medical Director, Dr. Leslie Cunningham, is board-certified and fellowship-trained, specializing in a range of minimally invasive, image-guided vascular procedures. He, along with our entire clinical team are leaders in the field and are proud to serve the Suffolk County community. We pride ourselves on our teamwork so that we can continue to be patient advocates and work to deliver both clinical and service excellence.

We’re committed to superior service:

At American Access Care of Suffolk County, patients can expect:

Prompt appointments: For our dialysis access management patients we offer same day/next day appointments when at all possible, allowing you to return to dialysis quickly. Convenient scheduling of appointments is also available for the other treatments we provide. At our center, patients avoid the complexities of a hospital admission, allowing you to return home to recover that same day.

Exceptional patient care: Patients encounter a team that is courteous and respectful. Individual needs are accommodated to ensure patients are comfortable.

Efficient and customized communication: Immediate post-procedure reports are sent to your referring physicians, and comprehensive reports follow within 24 hours after the procedure. We partner with your physician care team, focusing on coordinating your vascular care.

Educational programs: We provide opportunities for patients to enhance their understanding of their vascular condition. We actively encourage patients to become their own experts by providing educational support through our website, patient brochures, and educational sessions.

We bring every patient an expert team of clinicians, dedication and compassion, safe and effective treatments, and convenience, with an aim to continually improve their vascular care.

American Access Care of Suffolk County is a proud member of the Azura Vascular Care network of outpatient vascular centers located throughout the United States.  We partner with the top local vascular care experts to deliver best-in-class patient care, support and service excellence in each and every center.

Varicose Vein Treatment

Varicose Vein Treatment

Varicose veins are chronic and recurrent conditions. The variety of treatments available does not offer a cure, but rather a control of the condition. Successfully treated veins cannot come back. However, your inborn tendency to develop new veins will not be cured by this or any other form of treatment. Dr. Cunningham treats venous insufficiency completely, removing all backward-flowing veins, making your treatment for varicose veins as thorough as possible.

Port or PICC Line Placement

Port or PICC Line Placement

If you are receiving treatment such as chemotherapy, it may involve frequent injections and the need for accessible veins. A port or PICC placement can help make these procedures more comfortable for you, especially if your treatment requires frequent access to the bloodstream for medication delivery or blood withdrawal. Talk to Dr. Cunningham about how you can spare your veins from frequent needle sticks.
