Dr. Gene Savransky, American Access Care Nassau County

Gene Savransky, MD

Gene Savransky, MD, is an interventional nephrologist specializing in dialysis access management. He provides critical maintenance and management of vascular accesses for dialysis patients. Dr. Savransky is the medical director of American Access Care Physician, PLLC Nassau County in Bellmore, New York.

Dr. Savransky is a graduate of the Kharkiv State Medical Academy in Ukraine. After immigrating to the United States, he completed his residency and fellowship training in internal medicine, pulmonary diseases and critical care.

He previously served as the medical director of the Cardiac Surgery Intensive Care Unit at Montefiore Medical Center. He was also trained in vascular procedures by published experts and has co-authored numerous articles on vascular repair techniques. Dr. Savransky currently holds an academic appointment as Assistant Professor of Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

Dr. Savransky is board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary disease and critical care by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Dr Toufic Safa, AAA Long Island Vascular Care

Toufic Safa, MD, FACS

Dr. Toufic Safa is a vascular surgeon and treats patients at American Access Care Suffolk County, and is Medical Director of American Access Care Physician, PLLC, using the most up-to-date, pain-free techniques to help patients improve their quality of life.

Dr. Safa earned his medical degree from American University of Beirut, Lebanon. He went on to complete his internship in vascular surgery at George Washington University Medical Center, followed by a residency at State University of New York in Stony Brook, New York. He completed his fellowship at North Shore University Hospital.

Dr. Safa is a board-certified vascular surgeon and has co-authored and published multiple studies and articles. He has a fellowship in American College of Surgery and is a member of the New York Cardiovascular Society, American Society of Vascular Surgeons and Medical Society the State New York.

Shankar Iyer

Shankar P. Iyer, MD

Dr. Shankar P. Iyer is a vascular surgeon with more than 35 years of experience, specializing in dialysis access management. He performs a full scope of minimally invasive procedures to treat dysfunctional vascular accesses, providing critical care and maintenance to people with a dialysis access. Dr. Iyer treats patients at American Access Care Bronx, and Flushing locations.

Dr. Iyer earned his medical degree from Grant Medical College Bombay University in Mumbai, India. He went on to complete his Masters in surgery there, and FRCS from England. He completed an internship and residency in surgery at Bronx Lebanon Hospital, in Bronx, New York. Dr. Iyer completed a fellowship in vascular surgery at St. Francis Hospital, in Roslyn, New York. He is a member of the Vascular Access Society of America, Nassau County Medical Society, and the American Professional Wound Care Association.

Dr. Iyer is board certified in general surgery.
