Varicose Vein Treatment

Varicose Vein Treatment

Varicose veins are chronic and recurrent conditions. The variety of treatments available does not offer a cure, but rather a control of the condition. Successfully treated veins cannot come back. However, your inborn tendency to develop new veins will not be cured by this or any other form of treatment. Dr. Steve Loehr treats venous insufficiency completely, removing all backward-flowing veins, making your treatment for varicose veins as thorough as possible.

Uterine Fibroid Embolization

Have you been diagnosed with uterine fibroids? Don’t worry. They are extremely common and treatable. Uterine fibroids are benign tumors that develop within the muscular wall of the uterus. If you have uterine fibroids and are symptomatic, you have a choice in your treatment options. Dr. Steve Loehr offers uterine fibroid embolization (UFE)—a proven, effective alternative to surgery to treat uterine fibroids, with less risk, less pain and less recovery time.

Peripheral Artery Disease Treatment

Peripheral Artery Disease Treatment

This buildup—called plaque—narrows your arteries, often reducing or blocking the flow of blood. Peripheral artery disease (PAD) is most commonly seen in the legs, but also can be present in the arteries that carry blood from your heart to your head, arms, kidneys and stomach. Nearly everyone who has PAD, even those who do not have leg symptoms, suffer from an inability to walk as fast or as far as they could before PAD. In all, PAD affects 8 to 12 million people in the United States, especially those that are 50 and older. If you are diagnosed with PAD, the sooner you are treated, the lower your risk of the disease progressing. Talk to Dr. Steve Loehr about minimally invasive treatment options.

We Offer the Following Services:

Varicocele Embolization

Varicocele Embolization

A varicocele is a varicose vein of the testicle and scrotum that may cause pain, testicular atrophy (shrinkage) or fertility problems. Veins contain one-way valves that work to allow blood to flow from the testicles and scrotum back to the heart. When these valves fail, the blood pools and enlarges the veins around the testicle in the scrotum to cause a varicocele. As a treatment, urologists often suggest open surgical ligation, but Dr. Steve Loehr can offer varicocele embolization, which is as effective as surgery with less risk, less pain and less recovery time.

Testimonials

Every single person, Dr. Loehr, Sandra, Misty, and Tracy... I have never been in a doctor's office where I was treated with so much kindness and respect. Thank you all so much for being so thorough, explaining everything so clearly and kindly, and giving me hope. You don't know how much I appreciated you listening to my concerns and answering my questions. Thank you so much!

This facility lacks professionalism and true concern for their patients. I needed a fibroid embolization and had to go with an alternate facility, after being unable to scedule an appointment for the procedure. I'd call in and never be able to speak with the nurse that schedules the procedures. My information would be taken and I was told that I would receive a callback. Not once did I receive a callback. Mind you, I was told at my consultation not to wait too long to schedule it (once the procedure was approved by my health insurance), because of the sheer number of patients in need of the same procedure. After several attempts without success, I asked that my Gynecologist refer me to a different facility. The process of scheduling and undergoing the procedure with the alternate facility was timely and without hassle. I would not recommend this facility.

I enjoy coming to Triangle Vascular Associates because they have excellent customer service and are efficient in meeting my needs. Dr. Loehr is a wonderful provider who is direct and has answered all my questions. I have been fortunate enough to be put on the schedule for a same day visit, due to a new symptom. They also call when there are earlier appointments available on days that I have scheduled an afternoon appt. I would recommend this practice to anyone who is in need of a vascular specialist.

The receptionists have no interest in trying to help or to do the right thing. We were referred to this location twice and they never reached out to schedule the procedure. They were then called by our referring nurse and they were told it was an urgent situation. They said they would call us right back and they did not. We waited 4 days for calls. Finally we called them and they said they did not have an opening until 5 days out. Which would have made it an 8 day wait altogether. They are suppose to be same or next day appointment for us. So we went with the Raleigh location who did get us in next day. This place lied to our nurse saying once that they did not receive our referral, but on a later call another worker confirmed they received all of the referrals. Poor customer service with no integrity.

Went once for a consult on a foot issue. Dr spent ~2 min with me and acted like I was boring him. Thought I would try again. Just called to make an appt for another issue. They had no appointments for this week or next. Girl acted like she could care less and told me to go to urgent care.

As usual, greeted with a smile, and seen within minutes of arrival and on time. Nurse Practioner, Augustine, was thorough, caring, and professional. Dr. Loehr saw me promptly, took a careful history, and we made a plan for sclerotherapy to relieve longstanding venous insufficiency.

Great service. They definitely are a bit jaded, like they are tired of their job. Not observant of the fact that this could be family’s first time dealing with a surgery. Nurse was sarcastic about getting us out of the room to do whatever she need to do. The nurse originally sent us back to the recovery room one way and then when I had to go back to the car, I went back that same way and got yelled at and was given attitude by one of the doctors and treated like a fool but other than that, there were no other problems.

Everyone was friendly and I was seen after only a short wait. I came an hour early. Dr. Loehr told me about a new treatment he does for back problems, if I have certain symptoms. I don’t at present. He told me I don’t need any other treatment at present, but we will keep an eye out and he will talk to my Podiatrist and Orthopedic surgeon to make sure all continues to go well. I was very happy with this provider and all the friendly staff in this clinic!

My first appointments, customer service was not the best. Also, during phone calls after my procedure the service was poor. A rude tone was use when trying to schedule a follow up over the phone, information was not complete. Calls were not returned. The doctor was not made aware of my discomfort after the procedure. One nurse in my previous appointments was great, I think her name is Augustine. Today’s, appointment started with a misunderstanding, but the doctor and Tracy were amazing.

The staff is efficient and very friendly. They explained in detail what had to be done and the amount of medication my spouse received.

Staff was friendly and seemed to be well qualified, but the dirty condition of the facility made me feel uneasy. Sitting in the waiting room was not a pleasant experience. Stains (blood, food?) in the carpet, dirty furniture, a person sleeping on a sofa, black filth on the front exit doors. Not sure if I would go back for second visit.
