Dr. Eric Fels, Valley Access Center

Eric J. Fels, DO, FACP

Dr. Fels serves as the Medical Director of Valley Access Center in Bethlehem, PA. He is an interventional nephrologist with over 15 years’ experience specializing in dialysis access management. He performs minimally invasive procedures to treat dysfunctional vascular accesses, providing critical care and maintenance to those with a dialysis access. He is trained to create AV Fistula’s using Ellipsys, a minimally invasive alternative to surgery. In addition, Dr. Fels has over 20 years of nephrology experience and currently maintains a clinical nephrology practice with Kidney Care Specialists – Valley Kidney while serving as the Medical Director of the Fresenius Dialysis clinic in Kutztown, PA. These roles give Dr. Fels a unique ability to care for his patient’s dialysis access needs.

Dr. Fels is ASDIN certified in Interventional Nephrology and Endovascular Fistula Creation and board certified in Nephrology and Internal Medicine.

Shawn M. Hazlett, DO

Dr. Shawn M. Hazlett an Interventional Nephrologist at Valley Access Center, located in Bethlehem and is certified by the American Society of Diagnostic and Interventional Nephrology. He is also Board Certified in Nephrology and Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Hazlett joined Valley Kidney Specialists, PC in 2005.

Dr. Hazlett, D.O. graduated from Mansfield State University and Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Temple University-Scranton and two year Fellowship in Nephrology at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.
