Yvonne Dang, MD, is an interventional radiologist with expertise in uterine fibroid embolization (UFE), helping women suffering from fibroids avoid surgery and a long recovery by using a minimally invasive approach. She practices at American Access Care of the Bronx and another center within the Azura network of outpatient vascular care centers: Saqib Chaudhry, MD – Roslyn in Roslyn, New York.
Dr. Dang is a graduate of University of Arkansas School of Medicine. She completed a fellowship in interventional radiology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia.
Dr. Dang was a member of the Department of Radiology, Division of Interventional Radiology at New York Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York City. During her academic tenure at NYP-Cornell, she developed an interest in treating women suffering from uterine fibroids, helping them to avoid surgery and a lengthy recovery through UFE. Dr. Dang assumed the leadership role of the uterine fibroid practice at Cornell Vascular, a prominent private faculty practice specializing in varicose veins and UFE.
Dr. Dang was responsible for the education of many residents and fellows while acting as the Fellowship Program Director at Weill Cornell Medical Center, the largest interventional radiology training program in New York City. She has participated in many fibroid research projects and has lectured on the subject.
Dr. Dang is board certified in diagnostic radiology and holds a subspecialty certification in vascular and interventional radiology.
While Dr. Dang has many interests, the majority of her free time is now spent with her son and daughter.
