Norbert Shtaynberg, DO, FASN, is a board-certified interventional nephrologist specializing in the maintenance and management of vascular accesses for dialysis patients. To ensure that a patient’s access remains fully functional, he performs minimally invasive endovascular treatments at American Access Care Physician, PLLC Brooklyn in Brooklyn, New York.
Dr. Shtaynberg received his medical degree from New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2006. He completed his internal medicine residency and nephrology fellowship at Staten Island University Hospital. He then went on to pursue training in interventional nephrology under the guidance of Gregg Miller, MD, a pioneer in vascular access.
Dr. Shtaynberg co-authored numerous articles that have been published in peer-reviewed journals. He is an active member of the American Medical Association, American Society of Diagnostic and Interventional Nephrology, and a fellow of the American Society of Nephrology. He speaks English and Russian.
