Laura Sims, M.D., received her undergraduate degree in Biology and Anthropology from Western Kentucky University. She received her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Louisville School of Medicine. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at the University of Louisville followed by a Nephrology fellowship at the University of North Carolina. Her special interests include interventional nephrology, glomerular diseases, and critical care.
