Gregg A. Miller, MD, is an interventional nephrologist specializing in the critical maintenance, management and treatment of dialysis accesses. Dr. Miller practices at American Access Care Physician, PLLC Brooklyn in Brooklyn, New York.
Dr. Miller is also the Vice President of Operations for Azura Vascular Care and serves on its Medical Advisory Board. He leads clinic operations, business integration and physician services, overseeing initiatives to ensure that Azura’s systems, processes and procedures are aligned to enhance the total customer experience.
Dr. Miller graduated from The Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education at the City University of New York with a degree in biomedical sciences. He earned his medical degree from SUNY Health Science Center at Syracuse, completed a residency in internal medicine and fellowships in nephrology at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center and Critical Care at St. Vincent’s Hospital and Medical Center. In 2010, Dr. Miller was appointed assistant adjunct professor at The Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education in the Department of Physiology and Pharmacology.
Interested in improving the standard of care for outpatient dialysis vascular access services, he underwent interventional training with Dr. Israel Schur, a published expert in dialysis vascular access care. Dr. Miller developed the first outpatient vascular access center in New York State in 2002. As a researcher and trainer of physicians, he revolutionized the way dialysis patients receive care for their vascular access.
With more than nine specialty publications, he has delivered his message both nationally and internationally, impacting tens of thousands of dialysis patients. He became well known for his development of the MILLER procedure, which has transformed the treatment of Dialysis Associated Steal Syndrome (DASS).
Dr. Miller is board certified in internal medicine, critical care medicine and nephrology with an additional certificate in interventional nephrology.
