Welcome to Vascular Specialists of Central Florida, Inc.! We are a single specialty group of vascular specialists, solely dedicated to the treatment of the body’s arteries and veins. Our state-of-the-art outpatient center uses minimally invasive, image-guided techniques to treat patients in the Orlando area and Central Florida who suffer from artery or vein disorders, including peripheral artery disease (PAD) and varicose veins. Offering the latest interventional diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, we provide a shorter recovery time to help you get back to your normal routine as quickly as possible.

Physicians

Richard R. Teed, M.D.

Richard R. Teed, M.D., attended the University of Florida, where he earned his bachelor of science degree in microbiology and cell science with a minor in classical studies. He went on to graduate with honors from Ross University School of Medicine. He completed his general surgery residency at Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, VA, followed by his vascular surgery fellowship training at Carolinas HealthCare System in Charlotte, NC. Dr. Teed is fellowship trained and board certified in vascular surgery by the American Board of Surgery.
His specialties include treatment of peripheral arterial disease (PAD), limb salvage, dialysis access, wound care, aortic surgery including aneurysms and dissections, carotid artery surgery for stroke prevention and the treatment of all aspects of venous disease. He is an associate with The American College of Surgeons.

Kevin T. Claudeanos, M.D.

Kevin T. Claudeanos, M.D., attended the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), where he earned his bachelor of science degree in physiological sciences. He went on to graduate with honors from St. George’s University School of Medicine, where he was a member of the Iota Epsilon Alpha Honor Society. He completed his general surgery residency at the Albany Medical Center, where he won the Surgical Intern of the Year award, and then pursued vascular surgery fellowship training at the Greenville Health System, in Greenville, SC.
He joined Vascular Specialists of Central Florida in 2016 after several years practicing vascular surgery in the Stuart, FL area. Dr. Claudeanos is a board certified and fellowship trained vascular surgeon bringing nine years of treatment experience with him. His specialties include treatment of peripheral arterial disease and limb salvage, aortic surgery including aneurysms and dissections, carotid artery surgery for stroke prevention and the treatment all aspects of venous disease.

Michael J. Muehlberger, M.D.

Michael J. Muehlberger, M.D., graduated Summa Cum Laude from Austin Peay State University. He obtained his medical degree from The University of Tennessee at Memphis in 2004. He completed his general surgery training at The University of Florida at Jacksonville and was recognized as the Resident and Best Teaching Resident of the year, Trauma Resident of the year and received the Emmet F. Ferguson award. Dr. Muehlberger then pursued his Vascular Fellowship at The University of Virginia. After his Fellowship he moved to Orlando, Florida to join Vascular Specialists of Central Florida. Dr.Muehlberger is board certified with American College of Surgeons – Vascular Surgery.

Adam B. Levit, M.D., R.V.T., F.A.C.S.

Adam B. Levitt, M.D., R.V.T., F.A.C.S., graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Maryland and from Tufts University School of Medicine with high honors. Prior to entering the University of Maryland, Dr. Levitt served in the United States Marine Corps as an Infantryman. He did his General Surgery Residency at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC, and was the Chief Administrative Resident in 1996-1997. He was awarded the John Kesheshian Award for Excellence in Vascular Surgery, and was awarded for being the “Top Resident” at Washington Hospital Center.
Dr. Levitt then pursued his Vascular Fellowship at Atlanta Medical Center and did a one year fellowship at the American Cardiovascular Research Institute. He has published articles in Journal of Vascular Surgery, Journal of Trauma, Journal of American College of Surgery and has also given presentations internationally. Dr. Levitt pursued specialty training in Endovascular procedures at the prestigious Arizona Heart Institute training with Edward B. Dietrich, MD. Dr. Levitt is Board Certified in both General and Vascular Surgery. He also did additional training in non-invasive diagnostic vascular imaging and is a Registered Vascular Technologist.Dr. Levitt is a member of the American College of Surgeons, Society of Vascular Surgery, Southern Association of Vascular Surgery, Edward B. Dietrich Vascular Society, International Society of Endovascular Specialists and the Florida Medical Association.

Jon M. Wesley, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Jon M. Wesley, M.D., F.A.C.S. completed his general surgery residency at Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C. with two years dedicated to intensive research at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD. Dr.Wesley went on to complete specialty training in vascular surgery at the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics in Madison, WI. He subsequently held a faculty position at the University of Wisconsin before joining Vascular Specialists of Central Florida. Dr. Wesley received numerous awards during his training and has scientific articles published in major peer-reviewed journals. He has also given presentations at national scientific forums.
As a diplomat of the American Board of Surgery, he is board certified in general surgery and vascular surgery. He is a founding member of the International Vascular Surgical Society.

Charles S. Thompson, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Charles is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana and a graduate of the University of Florida. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Miami in 1993 and performed his general surgery and vascular surgery training at Louisiana State Medical Center in New Orleans. Recognized as the outstanding intern at Charity Hospital on the LSU service, he also received the outstanding teaching award by the LSU medical school’s Aesculapian Society two years in a row. He pursued specialty training in endovascular procedures at the prestigious Arizona Heart Institute and was awarded the Cardiovascular Fellow’s Award in 2001.
Dr. Thompson is board certified in general and vascular surgery by the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Thompson has authored over 25 scientific articles and has given presentations at regional, national, and international medical conferences. He has participated in numerous research trials using new devices and techniques for the treatment of vascular diseases including abdominal aneurysm repair, carotid stenting, stem cell research and venous disease. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a member of the Florida Vascular Society and the International Society for Endovascular Specialists.Dr. Thompson was instrumental in creating the endovascular surgery program at Orlando Regional Medical Center. He has served as a proctor for many physicians in endovascular techniques and is an advisor for device development. Dr. Thompson is a member of the board of directors of Remote Medicine and has volunteered abroad providing medical care in South and Central America.
