Excellent outcomes and dedicated vascular care. Ever closer to you.

At Vascular Interventions of Tampa in Temple Terrace, Florida, we specialize in minimally invasive procedures for dialysis access management and treatment for vascular conditions, including uterine fibroids and varicoceles. Our board-certified physicians use the latest image-guided technologies and provide safe, effective and individualized care in a comfortable outpatient setting. Our approach to vascular care is a commitment to our patients and the referring physicians of the Tampa Bay community to offer an exceptional patient experience and excellent outcomes through advanced treatment options.

What once required surgery with large surgical incisions and prolonged recovery periods can now be accomplished in our state-of-the-art outpatient center with minimal discomfort and a quicker return to your daily activities. The minimally invasive techniques used by our interventional radiologist and vascular surgeons replace open surgical procedures with no large incisions, less risk, reduced pain and shorter recovery time for patients.

Our board-certified medical director, Warren Krackov, MD, is an interventional radiologist and specializes in providing critical maintenance, management and treatment of dialysis access, uterine fibroid embolization, varicocele embolization, and more. Dr. Krackov is specifically known for using the transradial approach to uterine fibroid embolization (UFE), a safe and effective alternative that uses the radial artery in the wrist instead of the femoral artery in the groin. Dr. Krackov is a pioneer in offering and treating his patients with this more accessible and comfortable approach that delivers an improved experience with fewer complications compared to the traditional transfemoral approach to UFE. “The transradial access is a way for us to perform the uterine fibroid embolization procedure in an even less invasive way,” says Dr. Krackov. “It’s very comfortable. It’s very easy to recover from. It’s very well tolerated. So we’ve taken essentially a minimally invasive procedure and made it less invasive… about as least invasive as you can get.”

Dr. Krackov and our highly trained clinical team are dedicated to delivering far more to our patients, their families, and the Tampa Bay community. We believe that our patients should get the care they need, when they need it. We bring our full range of medical capabilities to every patient, every visit. We are there for our patients every step of their journey.

Vascular care has evolved. It’s about choices.

People living with vascular conditions don’t want overnight stays in the hospital, lengthy recovery periods and scheduling issues. They want to return to their daily lives quickly. We deliver a different healthcare experience; one that is invested in people, communication and best-in-class care.

At Vascular Interventions of Tampa, we are committed to superior service and delivering far more. Our patients can expect:

Prompt appointments For dialysis access management patients, Vascular Interventions of Tampa offers same day/next day appointments when at all possible, allowing you to return to dialysis quickly. Patients seeking treatment for other vascular conditions will experience convenient scheduling of appointments. At our center, patients avoid the complexities of a hospital admission and return home to recover that same day.

Exceptional patient care Patients encounter a team that is kind and respectful, never indifferent. Individual needs are accommodated to ensure patients are comfortable and kept well-informed.

Read what our patients have to say:

Efficient and customized communication The team at Vascular Interventions of Tampa partners with your physician care team, focusing on coordinating your vascular care. Immediate post-procedure reports are sent to your referring physicians and comprehensive reports follow within 24 hours after the procedure.

Patient Education Our patients see us as partners working to find the best treatment to fit their individual needs in vascular care. Our online and printed materials are vital components of the patient experience and help patients to be well-informed about their health and available treatment options.

If you are a current patient, thank you for entrusting your vascular care to the experts at Vascular Interventions of Tampa. If you are a new patient, we welcome you to experience the personal touch that our center provides.

Vascular Interventions of Tampa is a partner of the Azura network of outpatient vascular centers, delivering the most advanced care there is—combining an understanding of the local community with the extensive resources and support of a nationwide organization. Vascular Interventions of Tampa is accredited by The Joint Commission.

Uterine Fibroid Embolization

Have you been diagnosed with uterine fibroids? Don’t worry. They are extremely common and treatable. Uterine fibroids are benign tumors that develop within the muscular wall of the uterus. If you have uterine fibroids and are symptomatic, you have a choice in your treatment options. Dr. Warren Krackov offers uterine fibroid embolization (UFE)—a proven, effective alternative to surgery to treat uterine fibroids, with less risk, less pain and less recovery time.

Varicocele Embolization

Varicocele Embolization

A varicocele is a varicose vein of the testicle and scrotum that may cause pain, testicular atrophy (shrinkage) or fertility problems. Veins contain one-way valves that work to allow blood to flow from the testicles and scrotum back to the heart. When these valves fail, the blood pools and enlarges the veins around the testicle in the scrotum to cause a varicocele. As a treatment, urologists often suggest open surgical ligation, but Dr. Warren Krackov can offer varicocele embolization, which is as effective as surgery with less risk, less pain and less recovery time.
