Physicians

David Goldstein

David Goldstein, D.O.

Dr. Goldstein is an interventional radiologist specializing in minimally invasive treatments for a broad range of vascular conditions. These procedures can preserve and restore the functionality of a dialysis access, support limb salvage or treat uterine fibroids. He has been named Top Doctor, Interventional Radiology, by SJ Magazine 10 times since 2004 and three years in a row since 2020. Dr. Goldstein is the Medical Director of Azura Surgery Center Cherry Hill, located in New Jersey.

Dr. Goldstein earned his medical degree from the University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, Missouri and completed his residency at Graduate Health System – City Avenue Hospital/Osteopathic Medical College of Philadelphia in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed a fellowship at Harvard Medical School – Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts.

Dr. Goldstein is board certified in vascular and interventional radiology and diagnostic radiology.

Jacques Abi Rached, MD, FASN

Jacques Abi Rached, MD, FASN

Jacques Abi Rached, MD, FASN, is an interventional nephrologist with more than 10 years expertise in dialysis patient management. He specializes in arteriovenous fistula and graft examination for endovascular intervention, as well as catheter placement and management for hemodialysis patients. Dr. Abi Rached is an interventional nephrologist at Azura Surgery Center Cherry Hill, located in New Jersey.

Dr. Abi Rached earned his medical degree from the Lebanese University, Faculty of Medical Sciences in Hadath, Lebanon, and completed his residency at Staten Island University Hospital, New York. He received numerous awards during his residency including Resident Teacher of the Year and Resident of Year for Internal Medicine. After his residency, he completed a fellowship in nephrology at Hahnemann University Hospital/Drexel University School of Medicine in Philadelphia.

In addition to his physician expertise, Dr. Abi Rached is a dedicated and supportive healthcare advocate who promotes patient awareness through education in the field of nephrology and dialysis access management. He has lectured extensively and remains committed to utilizing innovative, cutting edge medical technology to address dialysis access management procedures to provide patients with positive outcomes. He has received numerous grants and awards in the field of nephrology, including The Distinguished Achievement in Medical Research and Scholarly Activity Award from the National Kidney Foundation.

Dr. Abi Rached has worked as a clinician-instructor and been responsible for teaching, conducting and guiding residents and interns through invasive and lifesaving procedures like central venous line placement, arterial line placement, lumbar puncture, abdominal paracentesis, and thoracentesis. He is also highly skilled in dialysis catheter removal on native and transplant kidney patients.

Dr. Abi Rached is fluent in Lebanese, French and English and is an active member of the American Society of Nephrology and the American Society of Diagnostic and Interventional Nephrology.  He is board certified in internal medicine and nephrology

Dr Eyal Barzel, Interventional Radiologist, Medical Director

Eyal Barzel, MD

Eyal Barzel, MD, an interventional radiologist board certified in diagnostic radiology, specializes in dialysis access care and maintenance. In his more than 25 years of practice, he has performed more than 20,000 procedures. Dr. Barzel is an interventional radiologist at Azura Surgery Center Cherry Hill, located in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.

With a loyal and dedicated patient following from near and far, Dr. Barzel’s patients are treated like family. Dr. Barzel has been described as having one of the best bedside manners ever witnessed. He has a very kind demeanor, he is very easy to talk to, and he is very thorough in his explanations, ensuring that patients are comfortable in their understanding of the treatment. He also has a great sense of humor and enjoys sharing jokes with his patients to make them laugh and become more relaxed.

Dr. Barzel earned his medical degree from Columbia University in New York and completed a fellowship in interventional radiology at Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.

Dr. Barzel is actively involved in clinical research projects that advance knowledge of dialysis accesses. His scientific abstract, Tract dilatation to salvage failing buttonholes in dialysis fistulas, was exhibited at the SIR 2017 annual meeting and concludes that tract dilatation is a useful method to extend the life of failing buttonholes, those that could no longer be easily cannulated.

Dr. Barzel is board certified in diagnostic radiology and holds a subspecialty certificate in vascular and interventional radiology.
