Excellent outcomes and dedicated vascular care. Ever closer to you.

When American Access Care Physician, PLLC Brooklyn first opened its doors nearly 20 years ago, it revolutionized how vascular access care is delivered to dialysis patients in the greater Brooklyn community. Rather than being admitted to a hospital with overnight stays, the state-of-the-art outpatient center allows patients to get safe, effective, minimally invasive treatments for their access to remain fully functional.  Patients can return home or to their scheduled dialysis treatment the very same day. Since the center’s inception, American Access Care Brooklyn has expanded its service offerings to dialysis access management in addition to minimally invasive treatments for peripheral artery disease, uterine fibroids, varicoceles and more. Priding ourselves on rapid patient appointments we can accommodate patients same or next day for their care. Now expanded to a new state of the art 15,000 sq foot facility we are able to limit our wait time.

Norbert Shtaynberg, DO FASN FASDIN, board-certified and fellowship-trained medical director, leads a clinical team of highly trained physicians, nurses and patient-focused staff, who use the most advanced techniques to improve their patients’ quality of life. The team at American Access Care Brooklyn works closely with referring physicians, patients and their families to keep all informed every step of the way.  The center’s philosophy is to always deliver the highest level of care, personal attention and compassion that all patients deserve—before, during and after each procedure. We ensure that the patient is the center of their care and involve them throughout their visit.

Visit American Access Care Brooklyn and experience firsthand what sets them apart from the rest.

Vascular care has evolved. It’s about choices.

People living with vascular conditions don’t want overnight stays in the hospital, lengthy recovery periods and scheduling issues. They want to return to their daily lives quickly. American Access Care Brooklyn delivers a different healthcare experience; one that is invested in people, communication and best-in-class care.

American Access Care Brooklyn is committed to superior service and delivering far more. Patients can expect:

Prompt appointments For dialysis access management patients, American Access Care Brooklyn offers same day/next day appointments when at all possible, allowing a prompt return to scheduled dialysis treatments. Patients seeking treatment for other vascular conditions will experience convenient scheduling of appointments. At the center, patients avoid the complexities of a hospital admission and return home to recover that same day.

Exceptional patient care Patients encounter a team that is kind and respectful, never indifferent.  Individual needs are accommodated to ensure patients are comfortable and kept well-informed.

Efficient and customized communication The team at American Access Care Brooklyn partners with your physician care team, focusing on coordinating your vascular care. Immediate post-procedure reports are sent to your referring physicians and comprehensive reports follow within 24 hours after the procedure.

Patient education Patients see us as partners working to find the best treatment to fit their individual needs in vascular care. Online and printed materials are vital components of the patient experience and help patients to be well-informed about their health and available treatment options.

Uterine Fibroid Embolization

Uterine Fibroid Embolization

Have you been diagnosed with uterine fibroids? Don’t worry. They are extremely common and treatable. Uterine fibroids are benign tumors that develop within the muscular wall of the uterus. If you have uterine fibroids and are symptomatic, you have a choice in your treatment options.

Dr. Salvatore Sclafani offers uterine fibroid embolization (UFE)—a proven, effective alternative to surgery to treat uterine fibroids, with less risk, less pain and less recovery time.

Peripheral Artery Disease

Peripheral Artery Disease

This buildup—called plaque—narrows your arteries, often reducing or blocking the flow of blood. Peripheral artery disease (PAD) is most commonly seen in the legs, but also can be present in the arteries that carry blood from your heart to your head, arms, kidneys and stomach. Nearly everyone who has PAD, even those who do not have leg symptoms, suffer from an inability to walk as fast or as far as they could before PAD. In all, PAD affects 8 to 12 million people in the United States, especially those that are 50 and older. If you are diagnosed with PAD, the sooner you are treated, the lower your risk
of the disease progressing. Talk to Norbert Shtaynberg about minimally invasive treatment options.

Procedures Include:

Varicocele Embolization

Varicocele Embolization

A varicocele is a varicose vein of the testicle and scrotum that may cause pain, testicular atrophy (shrinkage) or fertility problems. Veins contain one-way valves that work to allow blood to flow from the testicles and scrotum back to the heart. When these valves fail, the blood pools and enlarges the veins around the testicle in the scrotum to cause a varicocele. As a treatment, urologists often suggest open surgical ligation, but Dr. Sclafani can offer varicocele embolization, which is as effective as surgery with less risk, less pain and less recovery time.
