Eugene Essandoh, MD, is an interventional nephrologist specializing in interventional procedures, glomerular diseases, hypertension, critical care, as well as acute and chronic dialysis access management.  He the Medical Director of Capitol City Vascular Center in Montgomery, Alabama.

Dr. Essandoh earned his medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York. He completed an Internal Medicine internship and residency at Thomas Jefferson Medical University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he served as an associate faculty member of the Hospitalist/Internal Medicine Department.

Dr. Essandoh completed subspecialty training in Clinical Nephrology at Columbia University Medical College in New York.  His commitment to improving vascular access care for dialysis patients, led him to American Access in Brooklyn for training in interventional nephrology under the tutelage of Dr. Dean Preddie and Dr. Gregg Miller, world renowned experts.

Dr. Essandoh is board certified in internal medicine and nephrology. He maintains clinical responsibilities at Jackson Hospital and Baptist Health System in Montgomery, Alabama.  He is an active member of the American and International Societies of Nephrology as well as the American Society of Diagnostic and Interventional Nephrology.
