Dr. Douglas Bunting, Medical Director, leads our team as we perform all necessary procedures to re-establish adequate blood flow through an AV fistula or AV graft so that you leave our center with a fully functioning access. Our comprehensive skills enable us to treat and manage a wide spectrum of vascular access issues using the latest technology available.

Mark Vannorsdall - Interventional Nephrologist

Mark Vannorsdall , MD

Dr. Douglas Bunting, Jr., MD, Interventional Nephrologist and Medical Director at Azura Vascular Care

Douglas Bunting, Jr., MD

Douglas Bunting, MD, is an internist and interventional nephrologist specializing in dialysis access management as well as treating peripheral arterial disease (PAD).  Dr. Bunting treats patients at Azura Vascular Care Renalus Fort Walton Beach.

Dr. Bunting earned his medical degree from East Carolina University School of Medicine in Greenville, North Carolina.  He followed medical school with an internship and residency at Wake Forest University, Bowman Gray School of Medicine, Winston-Salem in internal medicine and a fellowship in nephrology at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center.

After completing his medical training, Dr. Bunting served as an officer in the US Navy for nearly 10 years, attaining the rank of Lieutenant Commander as both a flight surgeon and internist.  In 2005, he was reactivated and served overseas in Kuwait for a year at the US military Hospital in Kuwait. He is currently an active member of the American Society of Diagnostic & Interventional Nephrology.

Dr. Bunting is board certified in nephrology and internal medicine.

Dr. Haitham Qader, MD, Interventional Nephrologist and Medical Director at Azura Vascular Care

Haitham Qader, MD

Haitham Qader, MD is an interventional nephrologist specializing dialysis access management.  Dr. Qader provides critical maintenance and management of vascular accesses for dialysis patients.  He is the Medical Director of Azura Surgery Center Renalus Pensacola.

Dr. Qader earned his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine.  He completed a residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at Northeast Ohio Medical University in Youngstown, Ohio. While there, he was elected to serve as Chief Resident and was honored with several research awards and the Senior Resident teaching award.  Dr. Qader also completed a fellowship in clinical, transplant and interventional nephrology at Louisiana State University in Shreveport.

Dr. Qader is an active member of the American Society of Nephrology, the American Society of Diagnostic and Interventional Nephrology, the American College of Physicians-American Society of Internal Medicine, the American Medical Association, and the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Qader is board certified in internal medicine and nephrology.

Dr. Edward Friedland, Azura Surgery Center Renalus Pensacola

Edward Friedland, MD

Edward L. Friedland, MD, is an internist and nephrologist specializing in minimally invasive procedures for dialysis access management.  Dr. Friedland treats patients at Azura Surgery Center Renalus Pensacola.

Dr. Friedland earned his medical degree from University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. He completed an internal medicine residency and a nephrology fellowship at University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Medical Center.

Dr. Friedland is a Clinical Assistant Professor at Florida State University College of Medicine and also educates residents of Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine within the Sacred Heart Health System. He is a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Society of Nephrology, the Society of Critical Care Medicine, the American Society of Diagnostic & Interventional Nephrology and the Escambia County Medical Society.

Dr. Friedland is board certified in internal medicine, nephrology and critical care medicine.

Dr Humam Humeda, Nephrologist

Humam Humeda, MD

Humam Humeda, MD, FACP, is an internist and nephrologist specializing in critical maintenance and management of vascular access for dialysis patients.  He is the co-founder of Renalus Center for Kidney Care and treats patients at the locations in Pensacola and Fort Walton Beach, Florida.

Dr. Humeda completed his nephrology fellowship at the University of Alabama, Birmingham and his residency in internal medicine at St. Barnabas Hospital, New Jersey. In addition to his educational training, Dr. Humeda served as an Emergency Medicine Physician at Vaughn Regional Medical Center in Alabama.

Dr. Humeda sits on the advisory board of Sacred Heart Hospital, serves as Assistant Professor in the Department of Clinical Sciences at Florida State University and is an instructor for the Internal Medicine Board Review.   He is an active member of the Syrian Medical Association and the Escambia County Medical Society.

Dr. Humeda is board certified in internal medicine and nephrology and is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.
